Brief on the dangers of alcohol:
I have been asked to design a leaflet on the dangers of alcohol for the Tawa College Counseling service. It will be a 3 fold booklet with information on the dangers of alcohol inside it. I need to make it look modern because it is aimed at teenagers and if it is appealing to them they will look at it and become aware of the dangers. It is due on the 15 of May.
Specifications:
· Use a wide variety of suitable information sources.
· It has to be funky and modern with eye catching images.
· It needs to be on an A4 piece of paper.
· It needs to be completed by 15 May.
· It will have information on the dangers of alcohol.
· It will be printed in color on A4 paper in duplex.
· All images must be 300 dpi, Tiff format and printed in CMYK to make the images the best quality when printed.
·It must have a background.

Homeork Week 5 Wednesday 11th March
My design dossier is going good. I do think I am going to complete my design dossier by the deadline. I have balanced out parts of the project evenly and I have not spent too much time on one part. My dossier does not look like my initial sketch because while I was working on it I thought of a better layout which my client liked. I’m still using an image as the background, like I planned. I used the magic wand tool for the background. I cut off Roberts head and put it on a picture from a playstation game he likes. I put some effects (satin) on to make his face a bit darker to fit into the picture. I also used liquify to change his facial expression. I used the Spiderman 3 tutorial for the text effect. I changed it a bit because Robert used the same tutorial and I didn’t want both our dossiers to look exactly the same. I do think I am working well in class. I talk when I’ve finished the work I set out to do for that lesson. I have asked Robert for feedback and it has all been good but I haven’t asked anyone else for feedback.

Brief
This is my brief.
Brief:
My clients name is Robert Havill. He is a student in Miss Ellix’s Yr11 DIT class. I have been asked to produce a design dossier for him. This will show people who see it what Robert is into and what he is like. I made a gannt chart so I can keep track of what I‘ve done and what I need to do. My project will be done on a portrait A4 paper in Microsoft In Design. I am hoping to complete my project by the deadline date (13 March). The design outcome will be shown to Miss Ellix.
Specifications:
· I’m going for a biker look as my client likes bikes. I may use a picture of Robert on his bike for the background.
· Robert’s favorite font is STENCIL. So I am going to use this font for my text. Roberts’s favorite color is blue so I’m going to make the dossier main color blue with some black and white too (The font will be black).
· The size of my document will be A4 portrait. 2480 pixels by 3508 pixels.
· I’m going to put images and text on the design dossier. I am going to add Photoshop effects to the image and the text. My client has picked several text effects that he likes. He has chosen the one he likes best and I’m going to use it on this design dossier.
Deadlines:
My evaluation is set to be done by 10 March.
Refinements are done on 11 and 12 March.
Final Printing and Proofing is to be done by 13 March.
